Currently the US embargo on Cuba is currently stopping the Indian companies to send medicines and development-related equipments and product to the Caribbean island nations, according to the Secretory General Antonio Guterres.
In his annual report which was submitted in the General Assembly on the US embargo on Cuba he said that the SBI which is the national bank of India along with some other banks at least 4 banks have refused to carry out the transactions to enable the companies to increase in that country.

The report was figured during the last week, in which by the majority of 189 by two, the general Assembly passed a resolution censuring the embargo and asking the Washington to lift it.

Similar to it, in March a Vadodara based company Ankur Scientific Energy Technologies said that they are also not exporting instruments for a gasification plant to Cuba as 5 banks had refunded to carry out the transaction from the office of the UNDP in Cuba to it, he said. Added to it, he also said that “SBI refused to receive the UNDP payment “because the transaction is related to a project implemented in Cuba”
“It has been impossible to fulfil the payment to the supplier and the implementation of the project has been delayed.”
It is “an ongoing development project that aims to implement measures to adapt to climate change in food production, a gasification plant that uses rice husks”, the UN chief said.
