Researcher identified the use of Peppermint oil and Cinnamon for chronic wounds, which results by the development of number of infectious bacterial colonies over wounds, sometime this is harder to treat them and doctors suggest cutting and removes the tissues.
Recently scientists found certain medicinal plants has amazing key role and antimicrobial properties, they found that Peppermint oil and Cinnamon has antimicrobial products and can be used in treatment of wounds and more as instant healing. Vincent M. Rotello and colleagues wanted to address this challenge. The researchers say the new material, reported in the journal ACS Nano, could be used as a topical antibacterial treatment and disinfectant.
“The researchers packaged peppermint oil and cinnamaldehyde, the compound in cinnamon responsible for its flavor and aroma, into silica nanoparticles. The microcapsule treatment was effective against four different types of bacteria, including one antibiotic-resistant strain.”
