India based Biotech firm headquartered at Hyderabad announced two of its promising vaccines for Zika virus is ready for preclinical testing in animals.
Zika virus causes microcephaly in children and transmitted through bite of Aedes mosquito, According to CDC Brazilian Health association reported 3500 cases from October 2015 to January 2016 and recently WHO issues a statement which declares Zika a National emergency, and also launches several protocols and regular over this deadly virus.
An Indian biotech company known Bharat Biotech announced two of its promising vaccines are ready for preclinical testing over animal for treatment of Zika Virus.
Chief Managing director of firm Dr.Krishna Ella stated that,
Firm has been working since last one year for this virus and finally one of its promising vaccines is ready for final preclinical testing. Ella said his company invested over 150$ million to build a portfolio of vaccines. Ella also informed vaccine takes minimum of two year to launch. In normal cases vaccines takes 7 to 8 years to reach in market.
