Recently a deadly viral infection called “ZIKA” is mosquito born disease and infects large number of people, the virus first detected in UGANDA in 1947, in rhesus monkey. The virus spread through bite of mosquito named, Aedes mosquitoes. WHO mark alert for this deadly and contagious viral infection.
The World Health Organization calls an emergency meeting on Monday January 18, 2016 to schedule the control of this outbreak.According to Director General Dr. Margaret Chan said the virus is "spreading explosively" in the Americas. "The level of alarm is extremely high," she said. "The increased incidence of microcephaly is particularly alarming, as it places a heart-breaking burden on families and communities."

Transmission
Zika virus is transmitted to people through the bite of an infected mosquito from the Aedes genus.
Diagnosis
The basic diagnosis include, through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) and virus isolation from blood samples. Diagnosis by serology can be difficult as the virus can cross-react with other flaviviruses such as dengue, West Nile and yellow fever.
