Make sure that the centrifuge tubes are compatible with the kind of centrifuge you have. Proper function in certain centrifuges requires specific tube types or adapters.
Before using, visually check each of the tubes if there are any cracks, chips or any other defect. This may lead to reduced integrity during centrifugation.
To prevent leaks while conducting a centrifugation, you need to make sure that your tubes are sealed correctly. Use appropriate caps or closures and tighten them properly.
Load the rotor evenly when operating the centrifuge in order to maintain balance. Imbalanced loads can cause vibrations and potential damage to the tube and rotors.

Observe maximum speed in revolutions per minutes (rpm) as well as relative centrifugal force (RCF) limits specified for the particular centrifuge tubes used. Tube failure leads to unsafe flying away of things from their containment due to surpassing these limits.
