Dear Readers, Welcome to the latest issue of The Magazine
Microbiologists Society, India is working for upliftment of the subject and for sustainable development of the society. In the Covid 19 Pandemics, we made an appeal to all microbiology teachers and students to help the government by extending services in Covid labs & other industries for using their microbiology skills. We are happy to note that many microbiologists joined Covid labs. We planned to appreciate them by giving Mementos. HiMedia Laboratories Pvt. Ltd came forward and sponsored for this noble cause. Now we are felicitating more than 300 microbiologists from India and about 50 Microbiologists from Nepal, Shrilanka and Bangladesh. All these candidates worked in the covid laboratories for collecting the samples, analyzing the samples and by many other ways which is risky. Few of them suffered from coronavirus infection but all were successfully recovered. I am proud to tell all that most of them started their job without salary. Some of them got salaried jobs in due course.
However few are still serving without salary, serving for the nation, Mr Sham Patil, Project Manager for covid warrior was working 24×7,communicated all needy labs and microbiology students for the same. Covid 19 warrior memento distribution function was arranged virtually on 29 Nov. 2020 at 2.00pm. Dr. Pandit Vidyasagar, Ex-Vice Chancellor, Swami Ramanand Tirth Marathwada University, Nanded and Dr. Rahul Warke, Director, HiMedia Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. were chief guests of the function. Students were from Hyderabad, Gulbarga, Kolkata, Silcher, Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Osmanabad, Amravati, Buldhana, Kolhapur, Sholapur, Nanded, Amravati, Vishakhapatanam, Vijaywada, Nashik, Ahmadabad, Surat, Ahmadnagar, Sikkim, Banglore, Jaipur, Godra, Delhi and from many other places were felicitated in the function virtually. Three students Mr. Sham Patil, Mr. Veedprakash and Ms Bhagyshri Sonei. received mementos in presence. Dr. Rahul Warke appreciated the students for their help to the nation. He further said that these students are asset of india, strength of india. HiMedia has always accepted responsibility of social work .Dr. Pandit Vidysagar has pointed out importance of such students felicitation. He told such programmes are emotional and unique. Microbiologists’ society has done great work by providing more than 300 microbiology volunteers not only in India but in other countries. Dr.Ms. Dilecta (Goa) Ms. Madhuri Dixit(Hyderabad)Dr. Deepajyoti (Tripura) Dr. Sohel (Bangladesh)Mr. Anup (Nepal) expressed their feelings while working in covid labs.
