Gene and Stem Cell Therapy Adding future in BioPharmaceutical Industry

Dear friends and readers, I hope you would have enjoyed reading our previous issue. Once again, I am delighted to bring to you the August 2019 edition of Microbioz India magazine, supported by the cover story entitled “Gene & Stem Cell Therapy: Adding future in Bio-Pharmaceutical Industry” a review study.

Gene therapy is an experimental technique that uses genes to treat or prevent disease. In the future, this technique may allow doctors to treat a disorder by inserting a gene into a patient’s cells instead of using drugs or surgery.Researchers are testing several approaches to gene therapy, including: Replacing a mutated gene that causes disease with a healthy copy of the gene. Inactivating, or “knocking out,” a mutated gene that is functioning improperly. Introducing a new gene into the body to help fight a disease.

Added to this, the current edition has a special featured guest article entitled “Innovative Precision-Weighing Solutions Offer Top Speed and Accuracy in Tough Environments” by Mettler Toledo, focused on product launch of new range of flexible XPR precision balances. These balances are designed to speed up weighing processes and simplify sample preparation—even under challenging conditions. Lab operators around the world know that a small mistake in weight value can become magnified in subsequent analysis steps. This makes getting weighing right the first time key to analytical success. Efficient weighing also saves time and let users focus on the analysis.
