Thursday morning the pharma stocks were doing great trade whereas the rupee was falling in front of US dollar, the rupee opened with all-time low against the US dollar rupturing 69 level for the first time. The nifty pharma index was trading 0.85 per cent up at 9,317 around 10 am.

The shares of the Candila Healthcare (up 1.80 per cent), LupinNSE 1.39% (up 1.12 per cent) and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (up 1.10 per cent) were the top gainers in the pharma index. Whereas Cipla (up 0.95 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 0.84 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (up 0.54 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (up 0.28 per cent) were also among the gainers in the index.
On the other side the shares of the Divi’s Laboratories (down 0.86 percent) and Piramal Enterprises (down 0.51 percent) were incurring losses. Shared of the Biocon (down 0.07 percent) were almost flat around the whole time..
