BioChromato, Fujisawa, Japan, has introduced a gamma sterilized version of its Rapid Slit Seal for scientists seeking to eliminate solvent evaporation from samples when culturing cells from 96-well microplates.
Rapid Slit Seal is a proprietary self-closing microplate seal which returns to its initial state even when punched having an HPLC or even LC/MS autosampler. This prevents reduction of volatile chemicals from precious samples.
In addition, with Rapid Slit Seal insertion of pipette tips and sampling needles is much simpler and can be accomplished without dragging to save time and effort when dispensing or sampling.
Made to seal without having adhesive over microplate wells avoids the chance of sample contamination. In comparison to conventional sealing mats, Rapid Slit Seal also provides a way of reducing the cost of microplate sealing consumables.
