Dr. Harsimran Kaur is working in the area of Medical Mycology for the last 6 years. As the faculty of the ‘Centre for Advanced Research’, ‘ WHO collaborating centre for reference and research of fungi of medical importance’ and ‘National culture collection of pathogenic fungi (NCCPF)’, she is involved in diagnostic activities, providing the service of identification of the fungus isolated from clinical samples, providing strains for the research and teaching, maintaining repository of medically important fungi isolated from different part of the country and conducting national level external quality assurance program for mycology.

Dr. Rahul G. Warke has completed his Master’s as well as his doctoral research in Microbiology from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (ICT- Formerly known as UDCT). Later, he enrolled as researcher in the ‘Biological Warfare’ Programme of the US Navy and continued working with the Department of Cellular Injury, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Maryland USA.
During his academic and research tenure, he worked in various aspects of Microbiology. His work on ‘Detection of toxins in Gutka’ received national acclaim and was used as an important reference to introduce regulations within the tobacco industry.
